What’s the most important number to watch if you want to know how Democrats will do in the next midterm election?

If you believe Nate Silver, it’s not the Dow or the unemployment rate — it’s Obama’s approval rating.

Anything over 65 percent means that Democrats keep their current majorities or even add seats. Anything below that is problematic.
